Beyond Colour — Wildlight at Ffordes Photographic
In late November 2025, I was proud to be invited to exhibit ten images from my ongoing fine art project Wildlight on the Canon Image Wall at Ffordes Photographic. This exhibition features my work exclusively and presents a curated selection of images exploring monochrome wildlife photography.
Wildlight is an evolving black-and-white wildlife photography project exploring form, behaviour, character, and presence. By removing colour, the work draws attention to structure, expression, and the essence of wild animals, encouraging a deeper and more contemplative connection with each subject. The project continues to grow, with smaller connected bodies of work branching from it and contributing to its wider narrative.
All ten images were printed in-store at Ffordes using the Canon imagePROGRAF PRO-300 printer on Canon LU-101 Luster Photo Paper Pro (A3). The photographs themselves were captured using Canon equipment purchased from Ffordes, with my primary setup for Wildlight being the Canon R3 paired with the Canon RF 100–500mm lens.
Being invited to exhibit at Ffordes was particularly meaningful to me. I have been a customer since I was 17, and throughout my career they have provided not only equipment and technical advice, but genuine support and encouragement. Their guidance has played an important role in my development as a professional photographer, and having my work displayed in the shop is something I am incredibly proud of.
The exhibition will remain on display for several months.
