About the Photographer
Shona Graham-Taylor is a wildlife, landscape, fine art, and commercial photographer based in the Scottish Highlands. Her passion for the natural world began in her teenage years and continues to grow, shaping the way she approaches both her personal and professional work.
Shona works across both analogue and digital photography. Her analogue practice is rooted in fine art landscape photography, exploring textures, structures, and details within the natural environment, carefully printed and processed in the darkroom. Her digital work focuses on fine art wildlife and commercial photography, creating a balance of traditional and versatile approaches.
A central part of her creative practice is Wildlight, an ongoing fine art project exploring wildlife in monochrome. She also pursues other personal projects, such as Wandering, a collection of images capturing fleeting, intimate, or experimental moments from her daily life.
Shona has exhibited widely, both solo and in collaboration with other artists, at venues including Eden Court, Logie Steading, and Glenmorangie House. She has worked with collectives and organisations such as FLOW Photo Fest, Findhorn Bay Arts, and UHI, and she has up-and-coming exhibitions in the pipeline.
Alongside her artistic work, Shona teaches wildlife photography and undertakes commercial projects, including weddings, while continuing to develop her portfolio across fine art and wildlife photography. She is also a dedicated committee member of Inverness Darkroom, where her skills and style continue to evolve.
Through all aspects of her work, Shona strives to create meaningful, impactful imagery that reflects her connection to the natural world, her love of photography, and her ongoing curiosity and exploration.
